Teton Scenic Byway

Our family loves to go for drives. The Teton Scenic Byway is one of our favorites.  Here are some pics from our drive this past weekend.  We stopped off and had a little picnic along the way.

Dandelions are becoming my favorite flower. The boys are always scrambling to pick some for me wherever we go.  It is very sweet and thoughtful!

 Picking more flowers!

I love it when they run up to me with a huge grin on their face holding out the flowers saying "Flowers for you mommy!!"

TV that Doesn't Rot Your Brain!

Box TV....Then and Now from Karen C. on Vimeo.
Do you remember the printer paper from the olden days that had the little holes down the sides and the pages were all connected together?  Well, I happen to still have some around and it brings back some nostalgic memories from when I was a little girl and used to make crafts and things out of that kind of paper and the other office supplies that my parents had lying around for their milk delivery business.
Last summer as a project I transferred all of mine and my husband's old VHS and Hi8 tapes over to digital.  While watching through those I ran across an activity that we used to make when I was little, which was a box turned TV.  That inspired me to make one for my own children. I gradually collected the supplies that I would need to build something like. Then, I finally pulled it all out and amazed my children with what can be accomplished using only a box, some paper towel rolls,  and some ancient computer paper.

Yes that note says "this is the best" :)  I'll take that as a sign that this activity was appreciated.

Baby slept through the whole process, but when he awoke he was happy to see it!

Hello Again

Hello blog world!
As you might have noticed, I have not posted in a really long time.  The past few months have been really busy.  Winter semester I was taking 18 credits (which I happened to get a 4.0 btw :) as well as had a baby a week before the semester ended. Just to name a couple of things. If I can get all the paperwork figured out however, I should be able to graduate at the end of this semester though, so it will hopefully all be worth it!
Here are a couple of pictures that my talented friend Janelle  took of baby right after he was born.

Update

Our family has had a lot going on this year, so I apologize tat I have not been getting around to updating the blog very often.  I'll just catch you up a little at a time so that we all don't get too overwhelmed.  The first thing I should tell you is that we are expecting a newby into our family somewhere towards the beginning of April.  You'll never guess, but it is going to be a boy!  Yes, you are counting right that is going to be boy #3!  We are very excited and Q is always asking when he will be here.

Camping

I have been a slacker about writing on the blog lately.  Life has been very busy!  We are back in Washington again and I have had a lot of video projects.  If you're interested, this is the highlights from a wedding I filmed last month.

Excited to arrive at the campsite!

Smores for dessert!

The next morning

Breakfast menu:
Egg McMuffins, Cherries, strawberries and Orange Juice

Going for a hike!

It got kind of steep, but the trail boss kept calling back "come on guys, keep going".

Finally I was starting to wonder if we would be able to make it back down so we turned around.

No cell service, but I think he was about to take a picture.

On our way back we went through Dayton and they happened to be having their annual "all-wheels weekend".  I've never been before, but it was really neat!

Waiting in line to get tickets to the speeder cars

We all look a little frazzled, but hey, we just came from camping!

They came by, but it wasn't quite our turn.

He's not so sure aabout the dog statue.

Finally our turn!

They needed to move us to another car, but it was all good.

And then we walked around the car show

I bought these windows at a yardsale in Dayton.  I can't wait to do something with them!
