TV that Doesn't Rot Your Brain!

Box TV....Then and Now from Karen C. on Vimeo.
Do you remember the printer paper from the olden days that had the little holes down the sides and the pages were all connected together?  Well, I happen to still have some around and it brings back some nostalgic memories from when I was a little girl and used to make crafts and things out of that kind of paper and the other office supplies that my parents had lying around for their milk delivery business.
Last summer as a project I transferred all of mine and my husband's old VHS and Hi8 tapes over to digital.  While watching through those I ran across an activity that we used to make when I was little, which was a box turned TV.  That inspired me to make one for my own children. I gradually collected the supplies that I would need to build something like. Then, I finally pulled it all out and amazed my children with what can be accomplished using only a box, some paper towel rolls,  and some ancient computer paper.

Yes that note says "this is the best" :)  I'll take that as a sign that this activity was appreciated.

Baby slept through the whole process, but when he awoke he was happy to see it!

Hello Again

Hello blog world!
As you might have noticed, I have not posted in a really long time.  The past few months have been really busy.  Winter semester I was taking 18 credits (which I happened to get a 4.0 btw :) as well as had a baby a week before the semester ended. Just to name a couple of things. If I can get all the paperwork figured out however, I should be able to graduate at the end of this semester though, so it will hopefully all be worth it!
Here are a couple of pictures that my talented friend Janelle  took of baby right after he was born.
